Epson has harnessed its years of experience in digital imaging and developing new products to bring you the Moverio BT-100 – the first wearable See-Through Mobile Viewer for the consumer market. It's a brand new viewing experience

The Moverio BT-100's headset is shaped like a pair of sunglasses. The second you put it on, you'll immediately notice that you can see through the lenses without feeling cut off from your surroundings. This means you can still keep an eye on everything around you while watching your content in private; perfect for travelling, waiting for a flight or just relaxing at home

The large perceived image size is equivalent to watching a 320-inch display from 20 metres away while images are delivered with a QHD resolution, exactly one quarter of a Full HD 1080p frame.

You're not restricted to watching your favourite content at home. Thanks to the Wi-Fi connectivity, you have the freedom to update your social media accounts, catch up on breaking news stories or watch videos online whenever and wherever you want.

Store lots of content

You don't have to be tethered to large, bulky entertainment devices to watch and play content on the Moverio BT-100. With the included 4GB SDHC memory card, which can be upgraded to 32GB, you can transfer files from your computer and store lots of different content to watch movies, TV shows and listen to music anywhere.

Home screen functions


 1 Launches applications from their shortcuts. You can add, move, or delete a shortcut.

 When you click [] or [], the Home screen changes as shown below.

Using the options menu on the Home screen

Press the [] key to display the options menu. You can use the following menus on the Home screen.

1 All Apps: Displays all installed applications.
2 Add: Adds a shortcut to the Home screen.
3 Search: Displays the Search screen.
4 Notifications: Displays the Notifications screen.
5 Settings: Displays the Settings menu.

Adding a shortcut to the Home screen


 Click [] on the Home screen.
All installed applications are displayed.
Highlight the application you want to add, and then hold down the [Enter] key.
Use the [Direction] keys to select the position where you want to add the shortcut, and then press the [Enter] key.

  • You can also add a shortcut from the options menu on the Home screen.
    1. Press the [] key to display the options menu, and then select [].
      2. All installed applications are displayed.
    2. Select the application you want to add.
    3. Select the position where you want to add the shortcut.
  • You can add up to 80 shortcuts.
  • See the following to move or delete a shortcut.

  • If a shortcut is added to a position already occupied by another shortcut, the current shortcut is replaced by the new one.

Moving a shortcut on the Home screen


 Highlight the shortcut you want to move, and then hold down the [Enter] key.
Use the [Direction] keys to select the position where you want to move the shortcut, and then press the [Enter] key.

Deleting a shortcut from the Home screen


 Highlight the shortcut you want to delete, and then hold down the [] key.
Select Yes when you see the confirmation message to delete the shortcut.

Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select Display.

  • A part of the contents may not be displayed correctly because the pre-installed Flash Player is not the latest version.

    Navigating to a web page

    Click the search box on the browser screen.
    Enter the URL for the target web page or the text you want to search for.
    Click Go.

    Press and hold until the pointer enlarges, then drag your finger in any direction across the screen, and then click the displayed [] or [].

    Connecting to a wireless network (via detected access point)s

    Select Wi-Fi from the Wi-Fi settings menu.
    Available wireless LAN networks are displayed.
    Select the wireless LAN network you want to connect to.
    • If you select a security enabled network, you need to enter a password.
    • When connected to a network, [] is displayed at the top of the Home screen.

    		 Select Wi-Fi from the Wi-Fi settings menu, and then select Add Wi-Fi network.
    Enter the Network SSID name for the wireless LAN network you want to add, and then select the type of security from the Security list.
    If you are adding a security enabled network, you need to enter the password.
    Select Save.

    Receiving a notification when a wireless network is detected

    You can receive a notification if an available wireless LAN network is detected in the area.
    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select Wireless & networks - Wi-Fi settings.
    Select Wi-Fi and Network notification from the Wi-Fi settings menu.

    Supported wireless security settings

    The following security settings are supported.
    IEEE 802.11 b/g
    IEEE 802.11 n

    Using Gallery

    In Gallery, you can view and playback movies or photos stored on the microSD card.
    Insert the microSD card into the controller.

    		Launch [] from the Home screen.
    Available files are displayed.
    Select the file you want to view.
    • Click [] to pause a movie.
    • Press the [] key to return to the list of available files.

    Listening to music

    In Music, you can play music files stored on the microSD card.
    Insert the microSD card into the controller.

    		Launch [] from the Home screen.
    Available files are displayed.
    Select the file you want to play.
    • Click [] to pause the music.
    • Press the [] key to return to the list of available files.
    • By pressing the [] or [] keys while listening to music, you can perform other operations without stopping the music.

    Importing data

    You can copy movies, photos, and music files from your computer to the microSD card.
    1. Insert the microSD card into the controller.



    2. Connect your computer to the controller using the USB cable supplied.
    3. Click Turn on USB storage.
      4. Your computer recognizes the microSD card as a removable disk.
    4. Copy your data to the removable disk.

    		Do not disconnect the USB cable or remove the microSD card while copying data. Otherwise, the data could be corrupted.

    • If your computer has a built-in microSD card slot, you can insert the microSD card directly into your computer and then copy the data to the card.
    • You can store up to 4 GB of data on the microSDHC card supplied. To check the amount of free space on the microSD card, launch [] from the Home screen, and then check the following.
      SD card & device storage - Available space
    • This device supports commercially available microSD cards up to 2 GB, and microSDHC cards up to 32 GB.

    Managing files on the microSD card

    You can manage files on the microSD card by using the application SEViewer installed on this product.
    You can perform the following operations using SEViewer.
    • Copying a file
    • Moving a file
    • Deleting a file
    • Renaming a file
    • Installing an application
    Select the target file on the SEViewer, and then hold down the [Enter] key. Select the operation you want to perform from the menu displayed.

    Removing the microSD card

    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select SD card & device storage.

    		Select Unmount SD card, and then remove the microSD card.

    Data could be corrupted if the microSD card is removed without unmounting the card first.

    Adjusting the screen brightness

    Press the [] key, and then adjust the brightness on the Brightness screen.

    		You can also make adjustments from the Settings menu.
    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select Display - Brightness.

    Adjusting the volume

    Press the [] or [] key, and then adjust the volume on the Volume screen.

    		You can also make adjustments from the Settings menu.
    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select Sound - Volume.

    Muting the image and audio

    Press the Mute button on the headset's connection cable.

    Adjusting the sound quality to match your tastes

    Launch [] from the Home screen, select Sound - Dolby Mobile, and then select one of the radio buttons. []

    Switching between 2D mode and 3D mode

    Press the [] key.

    • You can view 3D content in side-by-side format.
    • Some buttons and screens may not be displayed correctly while viewing 3D content and you may need to switch to 2D mode to perform certain operations.
    • 2D content viewed in 3D mode will not be displayed correctly.

    Muting operation sounds

    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select Sound. Clear Audible selection. []

    Entering text

    When you launch a program that requires you to enter text or numbers, the virtual keyboard is automatically displayed.

    Changing the text input method

    While the keyboard is displayed, hold down the [Enter] key in the text input field, and then select Input method.

    A list of available text input methods is displayed. Select the input method you want to use.

    Cannot connect to the Internet

    Confirm that Wi-Fi is selected from the Wi-Fi settings menu.

    No image or audio

    The following formats are supported.

    Videos:
    MPEG4, H.264

    Images:
    JPEG, BNP

    Audio:
    AAC, MP3

    Data saved on the microSD card is not displayed

    It is possible that the data is not supported by the BT, please check with the formats mentioned above.

    Try removing and then reinserting the microSD card.

    Cannot copy data

    Check that the USB cable is securely connected to the controller and the computer.
    Copying may not be performed correctly via a USB hub.

    If an application on this device is accessing the microSD card, close the application before connecting to your computer.

    Check that there is still available space on the microSD card.
    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select SD card & device storage - Available space.

    If the USB mass storage is turned off, turn it on.

      1.   Press the [] key, and then select Notifications.
      2.   Click USB connected on the Notifications screen.
      3.   Click Turn on USB storage.

    The screen is too dark

    Press the [] key, and then adjust the brightness on the Brightness screen.

    You can also make adjustments from the Settings menu.
    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select Display - Brightness.

    The screen display is projected twice

    Press the [] key to display menus in 2D mode.

    The pointer does not work correctly

    Restart the device.

    Follow the steps below to make trackpad adjustments.

      1.   Turn off the Power.
      2.   Turn on the Power while holding down the [] key and the [] key.


    When the LED flashes purple, the adjustments are complete.

    Do not touch the trackpad while it is turning on.
    Do not release the [] key and the [] key until the LED flashes purple.

    There is no sound

    If the Mute button is on, turn it off.

    Press the [] or [] key, and then adjust the volume on the Volume screen.

    You can also make adjustments from the Settings menu.
    Launch [] from the Home screen, and then select Sound - Volume.

    Setting a password

    Launch [] from the Home screen, select Security - Set up screen lock - Password, and then set a password.

    Cannot operate the controller

    If the key lock switch is on, turn it off.

    If you cannot operate the controller even after turning off the key lock switch, press the Reset button for at least two seconds on the back of the controller to reboot the device.

    Do not press the Reset button during operations. Stored data and settings may be lost.

    Maintenance

    • If the image display section becomes dirty, wipe it gently with a commercially available glass cleaner.
    • If the nose pad becomes dirty, wash it carefully in water.
